Gary Krakow, the famous MSNBC columnist talks about the Motorola C116.

He says that this is probably the world's best cellphone.

I make it a point to read Gary's column regularly... and I am not surprised about this column either.

First of all, the basic need for a cellphone is for... making and receiving calls!

Gary says:

A very, very basic GSM handset that handles incoming and outgoing calls as well as SMS messages, the C116 is sold all over the world — except for the United States. It’s not sold here because it’s too cheap!

The C116 lasts 5 days without having to recharge.  The call quality is really good. It is cheap.

Although we 'technophiles' wouldn't want to be caught dead with a gadget like the C116, some of us may see Gary's point.

Go ahead and read Gary's column... I am sure some of you may start thinking...
