Sharp unveiled the world's smallest WiFi ( IEEE 802.11 b/g on 2.4 GHz) module.  It consumes 0.9mW/hour and measures 10x10x1.6 mm!

It features the smallest package size and lowest power consumption in the industry. You will most probably see it in cell phones.

Sharp succeeded in reducing the module size by integrating a high-frequency analog signal processor with digital signal processing units such as the power management unit (PMU) and media access controller (MAC).
