Silicon Motion, the well known company that designs and develops innovative digital media storage has announced the availability of the world's fastest USB 2.0 flash disk controller.

The new SM321E and SM324 controllers are capable of read speeds of up to 35MB/s as compared to the next fastest controller with read speeds of only 30MB/s.

The new controllers sport write speeds of 24MB/s, and the SM324 also features SPI interface allowing for master and slave modes. Functionality to integrate features into the USB drives such as GPS, biometrics, Bluetooth and capacity display are available as well.
