| LongPen - Remote Controlled Pen from Unotchit |
|
|
Booker Prize-winning Canadian author, Margaret Atwood, calls it "a democratizing device"... and a gadget that allows her to "be in five countries at the same time"! She's talking about the LongPen - a remote-controlled pen that allows writers to sign books for fans from thousands of miles away. Of course, as a technophile, I see it as a device that allows you to literally write on anything from anywhere! Unotchit (pronounced "you no touch it") is marketing this device. Too bad authors cannot buy it. Unotchit is only renting the LongPen for one-time signing events or tours. Of course, you can acheive the same result (remotely signing books) through other easier means, but the LongPen gives it that 'personal touch'.
